Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information The Law Pharm ("we") collects when you use thelawpharm.com (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what we need to run a study app, we do not sell your data, and we do not run third-party advertising.
1. Information we collect
- Account information. Your email address and password (stored as a secure hash), or your basic Google profile information if you sign in with Google.
- Purchase information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of your purchase and the product purchased. We never see or store your full card number.
- Study activity. Your quiz answers, scores, simulation results, saved questions, progress by topic, and preferences such as your selected theme and state. This is the core of the product: it is how your dashboard and analytics work.
- Technical basics. Cookies required to keep you signed in and remember your active state selection, and standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) generated by our hosting provider.
2. How we use it
- To provide the Service: authentication, your question bank access, and your progress tracking.
- To process purchases and grant access to what you bought.
- To respond when you contact us for support.
- To protect the Service against abuse and unauthorized access.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their marketing.
3. Service providers
Your data is processed by the infrastructure we run the Service on:
- Supabase (authentication and database)
- Stripe (payment processing)
- Vercel (hosting)
- Google (only if you choose to sign in with Google)
Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy and security practices, and only as needed to provide its service to us.
4. Cookies
We use cookies for one purpose: making the app work. That means keeping your session signed in and remembering settings like your active state. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
5. Data retention and deletion
We keep your account and study data while your account exists, since lifetime access means you may come back to it. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by emailing support.thelawpharm@gmail.com. We will delete it within 30 days, except for records we are required to keep (such as purchase records for tax purposes).
6. Security
Access to your data is protected by authentication and database-level access rules, so your study data is visible only to your account. No system is perfectly secure, but we design with security in mind and keep the amount of personal data we hold to a minimum.
7. Children
The Service is intended for adults preparing for pharmacy licensure exams and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and provide reasonable notice on the site.
